Details of the features and bug fixes from this update

This page provides an overview of changes deployed with the Hitrak software update for the week ending Sunday, August 4th 2024. 

Based on feedback from our users, the key focuses for this release were facilitating better management of customers and consignments in the Admin Portal, and increasing the visibility of information for your customers.

Admin and Customer Portal features to enable cleaner data and improved customer experience.

Deactivate Organisations

Unused Organisations can now be deactivated in the Admin Portal.

Inactive Organisations are not available for selection in the consignment entry screen, but can still be included in search criteria and viewed on historical consignment and Invoice data.

Deactivate Accounts

Accounts can now be deactivated within a customer Organisation in the Admin Portal.

Inactive Accounts will no longer be prompted in the dropdown selection in consignment entry screens, but can still be included in search criteria and viewed on historical consignment and Invoice data.

Warning for Duplicate Sender Reference

A new Service Type Setting to warn Admin Portal users any time a known Customer + Sender reference combination is used during consignment creation. 

Tags visibility to Customers 

Tags can now be surfaced to customers in the Freightmaster Customer portal and on Consignment Notes and Freight Labels. This is an optional setting, configurable for each tag in your Hitrak system.

“Invoice Notes” field 

New text field to allow a note or reference number to be applied to an entire Invoice. 

Note: This applies to the Hitrak Direct Invoicing model only.

Service Type Setting for Freight Label generation

Freight Label auto-generation can be turned on or off, depending on whether freight labels are required by default. If auto-generation is disabled, labels can still be created on demand on individual consignments or in bulk.

Limit to number of Freight Labels generated

A maximum of 400 freight labels can be generated in one pdf document, to prevent performance issues by reducing load on the system. With this limit in place, consignments which require freight labels should have a maximum of 400 freight items.

UI improvements, clarity on Surcharge editability, and some additions and updates to documents, as requested by users.

Driver App UX: 

Tablet enhancements

More effective use of the additional space on larger devices. 

Includes an increased number of tasks displayed in the Next and All tab lists, and general reduction in white space to enable clear legibility of Tags and other details. A Freight table on bulk jobs is available as a pop-up box, accessible by tapping the summary at the top of the job.

Consignment page: 

Separator for Freight tab sections 

Clear definition of the Freight line items and Hireage quantities in the consignment Freight tab.

Dispatch Regions page:

Consistent style in Tabs

Hovering on columns and rows is now consistent in the Region Delivery Times and Dispatch Groups tabs.

Surcharges: 

Field restrictions applied to avoid user confusion. 

As any new Surcharge configuration requires support from the Hitrak team, the Create New button has been removed from the Surcharges page. 

Surcharge codes are no longer editable, and Fee type fields which are not applicable to the Surcharge type are now disabled.

Document update: 

Proof of Delivery 

POD pdfs now include the consignment’s Service Type, Organisation Name and Hireage details.

The "POD Photos" section header is hidden in cases where no POD photos exist.

Direct Invoice csv Schedule 

The csv Invoice schedule now includes the Receiver Name and details of Freight items delivered (in addition to Freight items priced).

Note: This applies to the Hitrak Direct Invoicing model only.

 

Bug fixes🛠️

Improved reliability of tags and auto allocation performance, resolution of some pricing issues, and minor UI tweaks.
