Details of the features and bug fixes from this update

This page provides an overview of changes deployed with the Hitrak software update on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024. 

This is a substantial update across a number of areas, incorporating new Outturn and Event functionality, new Pricing capability, and further improvements to the consignment Timeline and  Admin Portal search functions.

Feature Details

Consignment Event photos

Photos can be added when creating a Note or Exception in the Admin Portal or Driver App.

Run Notes

Admin Portal and Driver App users can now create Notes at a run level.

This enables the recording of events such as a vehicle incident, or overlanded freight which cannot be linked to a consignment.


Run Page Events tab

New tab to include details of all Events related to a Run. In addition to Run notes, this includes any Notes and Exceptions recorded on consignments that were allocated to the run, while it was  Activated or En Route.

Outturn Reports

A PDF document for Outturns, broken down into event sections for Shortlands, Damage and Overlands.

Available to download from the Run page, with options to download the report with Run Events only, or include “clean" consignments.

Zone Rate Adjustments

Organisation-level rate adjustments can now be made to Zone rates directly in the Admin portal.

Data Extracts

"Revenue by Run" provides a breakdown of consignment and other revenue by driver run. 

"Consignment by Creation User" provides data on the user who created each consignment.

Feature Details

Change Consignment Customer

When changing a consignment's customer, the previously selected Service Type is kept, unless the Service Type is unavailable in the new Organisation.

Consignment Timeline

Timeline filtering has been redesigned to align with other system pages and provide a more user-friendly experience.

Resolved display issue on early status change events.

Reduced font size to align with other system pages.

Consignment File Preview

Preview dialog added in Timeline and Attachment tabs. 

Consignment Reference fields

Character limit updated to 250 for Sales reference, Sender reference and Receiver reference.

Consignment Search

Run date added to Run column in Consignment Search results.

Improved performance when searching by status from the Dashboard.

Data Extracts

Invoice files are compressed to improve performance.

Collection and Delivery vehicles added to "Consignments by Invoice" extract.

Documentation

Numeric field formatting aligned across all PDF documents.

Invoice file names aligned to new consistency rules.

Invoicing

Automatic Invoice Annotations reflect when a User has initiated the action instead of always using "System Events".

Invoicing (Hitrak Direct)

Resending Invoices is now enabled from individual Invoices in the Admin portal.

Invoicing (Xero and manual)

New columns added to provide more pricing information in Invoice schedule csv:


Extras details, total Extras price, Surcharge details, total Surcharges price and total consignment price.

Invoicing (Xero)

Added support for uploading schedule documents with spaces in the file name to Xero.

Messaging Templates

New Service type setting to support using first name only instead of full name in messaging templates.

Pricing Setup

The previously selected Pricing model and Charge types for an Organisation can now be edited in the Admin Portal.

Rating Page Search

Results can now be sorted and filtered by the consignment Sender and Receiver.

Run Page Hireage details

Header section summary and Consignments tab Hireage column updated, to provide separate Collected, Delivered and Retrieved quantities. 

Run Templates

Linehaul templates are now available to select when allocating consignments from the Unallocated tab.

Site details

Aligned acceptable characters for Site Name and Site Code fields to Org code parameters.

Vehicles page search

A new checkbox allows the inclusion or exclusion of inactive vehicles in results.

Freightmaster Consignments

The consignment Requested Pickup Date field can now be made available in Freightmaster, using a new Organisation Service Type setting.
